Privacy Policy

This English version is provided for convenience. If there is any difference, the Korean version prevails.

VISD (the "Company") establishes and discloses this Privacy Policy under the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea, to protect the personal information of data subjects and to handle related concerns promptly.

Article 1 (Purposes of processing)

The Company processes personal information only for the purposes below. It is not used for any other purpose, and separate consent is obtained if a purpose changes.

  1. Receiving, verifying and answering inquiries submitted through the website
  2. Preventing abuse such as spam and repeated submissions
  3. Analyzing website visit statistics
  4. Measuring advertising performance (whether visitors who came from our ads submitted an inquiry)

Article 2 (Personal information processed)

Article 3 (Retention period)

  1. Inquiries: 3 years from the date the inquiry is received, after which they are destroyed without delay.
  2. IP addresses used to prevent abuse: held temporarily for up to 1 day, then deleted automatically.
  3. Visit statistics: kept for the retention period set in Google Analytics (up to 14 months).
  4. Information sent to Google for advertising measurement: processed for the period set out in the Google Ads Data Processing Terms.
  5. Where the law requires retention, information is kept for the required period.

Article 4 (Destruction)

  1. Personal information is destroyed without delay once its retention period ends or its purpose has been achieved.
  2. Electronic files are permanently deleted so they cannot be restored, including copies received as inquiry notification e-mails.

Article 5 (Provision to third parties)

The Company does not provide personal information to third parties, except with the data subject’s consent or where specifically required by law.

Article 6 (Entrustment of processing)

The Company entrusts the following processing work to service providers.

Article 7 (Transfer abroad)

Inquiry information is stored in Korea (Amazon Web Services Seoul region, DaouOffice). For visit statistics and advertising measurement, however, information is transferred abroad as follows.

How to refuseBlock cookies in your browser or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. Refusing does not limit your use of the website. If you do not want your e-mail and phone number sent, contact us by e-mail (sales@visd.kr) instead of using the inquiry form.

Article 8 (Cookies)

  1. The Company uses Google Analytics and Google Ads, which use cookies, to analyze visit statistics and measure advertising performance. A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser.
  2. You can refuse cookies in your browser settings. This does not limit your use of the website.
  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
  • Safari: Settings → Privacy

Article 9 (Your rights)

  1. You may at any time request access to, correction or deletion of, or suspension of processing of your personal information.
  2. Send requests by e-mail to the Privacy Officer below. The Company will act on them without delay.
  3. Requests may also be made through a representative, who must submit a power of attorney.

Article 10 (Security measures)

  1. Restricted, login-authenticated access to administration pages
  2. Encryption in transit (HTTPS)
  3. A web application firewall and blocking of abnormal access
  4. Storing IP addresses with part of the address masked

Article 11 (Children)

The Company does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14 and deletes it without delay if such collection is found.

Article 12 (Privacy Officer)

The Company has designated the following Privacy Officer, who is responsible for personal information processing and for handling related complaints and remedies.
